Robbins Geller Named 2020 Securities and Privacy/Cybersecurity Practice Group of the Year by Law360
On November 29, 2020, Law360 named Robbins Geller as a Practice Group of the Year in the categories of securities and privacy/cybersecurity for 2020. The award “honor[s] the law firms behind the litigation wins and major deals that resonated throughout the legal industry in the past year.” Robbins Geller was chosen from 775 firm submissions across 40 practice areas. This is the first time the Firm has been selected in the privacy/cybersecurity category where partners Paul Geller, Shawn Williams, and the Robbins Geller litigation team, along with co-counsel, obtained preliminary approval of the largest privacy class action settlement of $650 million. A more detailed profile on the Firm and its accomplishments in each category will be published in the next few weeks.
This award comes on the heels of Robbins Geller receiving numerous accolades this year. Most recently, the Firm was ranked Tier 1 by The Legal 500 for being “‘aggressive, tenacious and in a league of its own.’” The publication recognized that Robbins Geller was “‘the best firm and [also] the best financed, so it is able to take risks and it stands alone in this area of law.’” The Firm also received Band 1 rankings and was recognized for its “Top-Flight Plaintiff Litigators” by Chambers USA, which commended the Firm’s “proven track record of winning high-value settlements.” Benchmark Litigation named Robbins Geller as San Diego Firm of the Year and highlighted Robbins Geller as “one of the country’s best-known plaintiff shops” for “excellent work, top-notch communications, responsiveness, knowledge and absolute best-in-class legal services.” The National Law Journal and New York Law Journal also selected several of the Firm’s attorneys as trailblazers for being “truly agents of change.”
