Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP has been recognized by The National Law Journal at the 2026 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards, winning in the Class Action category. Partner Taeva C. Shefler was also honored as a Rising Star of the Plaintiffs Bar. The annual awards recognize leading U.S. plaintiffs’ law firms and attorneys for their achievements advocating for plaintiffs.

The 2026 honor marks the seventh year in the past ten that Robbins Geller has been recognized at the Elite Trial Lawyers Awards.

Taeva’s Rising Star of the Plaintiffs Bar award recognizes her as one of the plaintiffs’ bar’s emerging leaders. She is currently helping to lead nationwide litigation against social media companies for harm to youth. In 2022, she played a lead role on the trial team in a federal bench trial in San Francisco in a case that had been selected as a bellwether in the national multidistrict litigation to hold the pharmaceutical industry responsible for the opioid crisis. The trial resulted in combined settlements of over $350 million for the City and County of San Francisco, including a nearly $230 million settlement with Walgreens.

Taeva is originally from the Northwest and is a proud graduate of the University of Oregon and NYU Law School. Before joining Robbins Geller, she spent years representing whistleblowers in cases alleging fraud against federal and state governments in the areas of environmental cleanup, government contracting, and healthcare. She has also been named a Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyer, a Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyer, and included in the 500 X - The Next Generation Lawdragon guide.
