ISS SCAS Report: Robbins Geller Highlighted in Report on 100 Largest U.S. Securities Class Actions

Institutional Shareholder Services Securities Class Action Services released its annual report on The Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All-Time.
The report notes that, relative to 2024, the past year’s total recoveries in U.S. securities litigation were modest, but the “big picture” remains positive for investors, pointing to the fact that the top 100 U.S. securities cases have recovered $73 billion for investors harmed by fraud and related misconduct. The report specifically calls out Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP’s recent $179 million recovery in Acadia Healthcare, which is pending court approval later this year.
According to the report, Robbins Geller obtained the only two securities-related class action recoveries more than $1 billion since 2020 to join the top 100: Valeant Pharmaceuticals International ($1.21 billion) and American Realty Capital Properties ($1.025 billion).
The Firm has secured the largest recovery of the year in the past three out of five years with recoveries of $490 million in Apple in 2024, $809.5 million in Twitter in 2022, and Valeant in 2021. Additionally, Robbins Geller is the only firm in the top 100 with multiple $1 billion-plus recoveries as sole lead counsel: Enron ($7.2 billion); Household International ($1.575 billion); Valeant; and American Realty.
