“Titan of the Plaintiffs Bar”: Law360 Honors Daniel Drosman for Obtaining a $809.5 Million Recovery Against Twitter
Last week, Law360 honored Daniel Drosman, a partner at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP, as a “2022 Titan of the Plaintiffs Bar” for leading a trial team that obtained a $809.5 million settlement in a securities fraud class action against Twitter, Inc.
Law360 noted Drosman’s trial skills and his recent string of victories for investors, many of which involved “companies often cutting costly deals in the final hours before trial starts.”
He led a team of Robbins Geller trial attorneys in a recent class action against Twitter, which was settled for $809.5 million, pending final court approval. He shared with Law360 the intensive preparation that went into the case, which settled just prior to trial before a federal court in Oakland, California.
Drosman also shared with Law360 how his experience as a federal prosecutor inspires his work on behalf of investors “taking multibillion-dollar companies to task for fraud.”
“‘We’re prosecuting fraud, we’re just doing it on the civil level. We’re not putting people in jail, we’re just making clients whole,’” he told Law360, adding that he maintains “‘that passion to prevail on behalf of our clients.’”
