Robbins Geller Partner Mark Dearman Appointed to Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in FieldTurf Artificial Turf Marketing Practices Litigation

On August 22, 2017, the Honorable Michael A. Shipp of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey issued an order appointing Robbins Geller partner Mark J. Dearman to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in In re FieldTurf Artificial Turf Marketing Practices Litigation.

The case alleges that FieldTurf USA Inc. and its related companies sold defective synthetic turf for use in athletic fields. The turf deteriorated quicker than advertised, and the resulting case questions FieldTurf USA Inc.’s product development, manufacturing process, testing phase, marketing tactics, and the defendants’ knowledge of the alleged defects.

The court selected Dearman to work closely with co-lead counsel and be responsible for performing litigation tasks required in connection with the case.
