Press Release
In an effort to increase and/or maintain its online advertising services, AT&T/Yellowpages.com solicits prospective customers to purchase internet advertising services and products over the telephone and in person through a series of misrepresentations, omissions and deceptive sales practices, largely through the use of a uniform sales script. Included within the products and services sold is one known as YPClicks! Defendant's representations as to partnerships with major on-line search engines is untrue, as the service does not have the technological sophistication to navigate the complex systems used by the major search engines to assure advertising prominence.
