Robbins Geller Obtains Class Certification in J.P. Morgan MBS Litigation
In an opinion dated September 30, 2014, the Honorable J. Paul Oetken of the Southern District of New York certified a liability class of all persons or entities who, prior to March 23, 2009, purchased or otherwise acquired any certificates from any of the nine 2007 J.P. Morgan mortgage-backed securities offerings identified in the opinion, which collectively issued approximately $10 billion in certificates. The court noted “that Robbins Geller, the firm acting as counsel to Plaintiffs, is experienced in securities class action litigation and qualified to conduct this lawsuit.” Robbins Geller will continue to aggressively pursue the case and prepare for trial.
