April 19, 2011

Lawdragon named Robbins Geller partners Darren J. Robbins and Paul J. Geller to its annual list of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America. Lawdragon collects a variety of data in order to choose its list of leading lawyers. The selection process is primarily comprised of law firm submissions, online voting, and Lawdragon’s own detailed editorial research. Lawdragon has repeatedly named the Firm’s attorneys to its lists of top lawyers and stated that the Firm has “champion trial lawyers who can handle any case, any time, any where.”

Over the years, Robbins and Geller have received numerous accolades for their work in securities class actions. Receiving the Lawdragon honor for the third time, Robbins has also been recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers Shaping the Future” and by The American Lawyer as one of the “Young Litigators 45 and Under.” California Lawyer selected him as “Attorney of the Year” for his role as lead counsel in In re Hanover Compressor Securities Litigation, which resulted in a significant recovery for shareholders and landmark corporate governance reforms. Lawdragon commended Robbins, stating that “[w]ith a string of settlements exceeding $100 [million] already to his name, [he] is sure to be one of the most dominant forces in securities litigation for many years to come.”

Geller receives the Lawdragon honor for the third time as well. Rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell (the highest rating available) and twice named as one of the nation’s top “40 Under 40” by The National Law Journal, Geller has served as lead or co-lead counsel in a majority of the securities class actions that have been filed in the southeastern United States in the past several years. Lawdragon noted that Geller is the “esteemed firm’s Florida anchor [who] is prolific at protecting shareholders from corporate misconduct.”
