Firm founder William S. Lerach is gone, but life goes on for the firm now known as Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins. Since Lerach left about a year ago to begin a prison sentence in a kickback scandal, the 190-attorney firm been retained by dozens of public and private funds managing $50 billion in assets. The firm has filed 150 new cases and has been appointed lead counsel in dozens more. Its recoveries since the Enron Corp. collapse have totaled $7.3 billion. Coughlin Stoia has offices in San Diego; San Francisco; Los Angeles; New York; Washington; Atlanta; Philadelphia; and Boca Raton, Fla.
