The Legal 500 Recognizes Robbins Geller as “the 800-pound gorilla” Plaintiffs’ Firm and Awards Top Ranking
Yet again, Robbins Geller received a top ranking by The Legal 500 in the publication’s nationwide categories of “Securities Litigation – Plaintiff” and “M&A Litigation – Plaintiff.” The publication recognized the Firm as “the 800-pound gorilla, a real force on the plaintiff side,” adding that the Firm has “earned its reputation as a serious player and its lawyers do an effective job at trial in sophisticated matters.” The rankings are based on a series of criteria that examine “the practice area teams who are providing the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel.” In order to rank law firms, the series considers feedback from 250,000 clients worldwide and submissions from firms, as well as information obtained by a team of legal researchers. Additionally, The Legal 500 praised Randall Baron and Robbins Geller in the worldwide category of “M&A Litigation,” listing Baron on the elite “Leading Lawyers” list for the second time. The publication commended Baron for being a key member of the Firm’s litigation team in In re Kinder Morgan, Inc. S’holders Litig., the largest merger & acquisition recovery in history. Recent notable M&A cases that Robbins Geller has litigated include In re Dole Food Co., Inc. Stockholder Litig., the largest trial verdict ever in a class action challenging a merger transaction, and In re Rural Metro Corp. Stockholders Litig., where the Firm obtained affirmance by the Delaware Supreme Court of the nearly $100 million judgment for shareholders.
