Overview

Jason Davis is a partner in Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP’s San Francisco office where he practices securities class actions and complex litigation involving equities, fixed-income, synthetic, and structured securities issued in public and private transactions. 

Jason was on the trial team in Jaffe v. Household Int’l, Inc., a securities class action that obtained a record-breaking $1.575 billion settlement after 14 years of litigation, including a six-week jury trial in 2009 that resulted in a verdict for plaintiffs. Most recently, he was part of the litigation team in Luna v. Marvell Tech. Grp., Ltd., resulting in a $72.5 million settlement that represents approximately 24% to 50% of the best estimate of classwide damages suffered by investors.

Before joining the Firm, Jason focused on cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions at Cravath, Swaine and Moore LLP in New York and O’Melveny and Myers LLP in San Francisco.

Jason graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, where he was the International Relations Scholar of the Year. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law, Boalt Hall, where he won a Moot Court brief writing award, several examination awards, and was a teaching fellow. Jason was also an extern to Chief Judge Marilyn Hall Patel, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California during his schooling.
