Sony PlayStation Network Security Breach

In April 2011, Sony suffered a massive breach in its video game online network—including PlayStation Network and Qriocity—that led to the theft of names, addresses and credit card data belonging to more than 77 million user accounts in what is one of the largest-ever Internet security break-ins. Robbins Geller was contacted by numerous Sony PSN users immediately after the breach became public, and was asked to represent them in class action lawsuits against Sony and any other potentially responsible parties. To date, approximately 30 lawsuits have been filed against Sony. As the cases move forward, Sony PSN users are urged to monitor their credit card statements and credit reports with the utmost vigilance, and to follow the directions on Sony’s website http://us.playstation.com/support/
