Kathleen L. Barber
Kathleen L. Barber has been a member of the litigation team in securities fraud class actions such as In re UnitedHealth Grp. Inc. PSLRA Litig. ($925.5 million settlement), R.H. Donnelley ($25 million settlement) and 21st Century ($2.2 million). Ms. Barber has also served as class counsel in several class actions brought on behalf of Florida emergency room physicians against some of the nation's largest Health Maintenance Organizations, which settled for substantial increases in reimbursement rates and millions of dollars in past damages for the class.
Ms. Barber earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University. While attending Georgetown, Ms. Barber served as a congressional intern for United States Congresswoman Karen Thurman (D-FL). In addition, during her last semester, Ms. Barber worked part-time as a Deputy Clerk Intern for the Clerk’s Office of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Barber then graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was a member of the Mock Trial Team. While attending law school, she was a summer associate at the Firm.
