Jennifer L. Gmitro received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1998. Prior to law school, she taught English at a university in Thailand. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2006, where she served on the San Diego International Law Journal and competed in the 2005 Jessup International Moot Court competition in Washington, D.C. 

Ms. Gmitro joined Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP after law school, where her practice focuses on complex securities litigation. She was a member of the litigation team prosecuting In re UnitedHealth Grp. Inc. PSLRA Litig., No. 0:06-cv-1691-JMR-FLN (D. Minn.), which settled for approximately $1 billion. She is currently litigating Silverman v. Motorola, Inc., No. 07-cv-4507 (N.D. Ill.), Alaska Electrical Pension Fund v. Pharmacia Corp., No. 03-1519 (D.N.J.), Bennett v. Sprint Nextel Corp., No. 2:09-cv-02122 (D. Kan), Indiana State Dist. Council of Laborers & HOD Carriers Pension & Welfare Fund v. Omnicare, Inc., No. 2:06-cv-00026 (E.D. Ky.), and In re Libor-Based Financial Instruments Antitrust Litig., MDL No. 2262.
